Audit Manager – Internal Audit Lead

About the role

The Audit Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing internal audit activities to assess the effectiveness of the company's internal controls, risk management processes, financial and operational procedures, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role provides independent assurance and advisory support to management, identifying control weaknesses and recommending practical improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute internal audits covering financial, operational, and compliance areas.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify risks and control weaknesses, and recommend practical improvements.
• Review financial transactions, accounting records, and business processes for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive audit reports highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of agreed audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Lead, supervise, and develop the internal audit team while ensuring quality and timely completion of assignments.
• Conduct special audits and investigations into suspected irregularities, fraud, or other areas of concern as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field; professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIA is advantageous.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, finance, or risk management; supervisory or managerial audit experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, accounting principles, and audit practices.
