About the role
Simplebooks is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join its core engineering team. You will help build and maintain the platform that powers thousands of Sri Lankan SMEs, working on everything from automated tax calculations to seamless document‑management features.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications using Vue.js, Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and services.
- Integrate user‑facing elements with server‑side logic.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality product delivery.
- Maintain code quality, documentation and automation.
- Work with NoSQL databases such as Firebase and MongoDB, applying sound design principles.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
- 1‑2 years of full‑stack development experience.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
