Associate Manager, Financial Reporting and Control

About the role

The Associate Manager, Financial Reporting and Control works independently to support the Business Unit Controller in delivering accurate accounting, statutory and tax reporting for entities within the London Stock Exchange Group. The role ensures compliance with local GAAP, tax regulations and internal policies while collaborating with multiple internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and control services for LSEG subsidiaries.
• Ensure legal entities are correctly recorded in enterprise systems and maintain strong process controls.
• Manage month‑end close, reconcile critical accounts and verify transaction coding against accounting policies.
• Liaise with external auditors to complete statutory and tax audits on schedule.
• Participate in balance‑sheet and cost reviews.
• Coordinate with tax and transfer‑pricing teams to prepare tax packs, book provisions and review calculations.
• Support tax audits and analyse material variances.
• Present financial performance and insights to the Board of Directors.
• Uphold LSEG policies, procedures and financial controls within the team.

Required profile

• Accounting graduate with relevant experience in the areas described.
• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA or CIMA preferred).
• Minimum two years’ experience in an audit firm.
• Ability to work autonomously and make well‑informed decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy orientation.
