Associate Database Administrator – Oracle

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Database Administrator specialized in Oracle to join our IT team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with database installation, configuration, and day‑to‑day operational support in a production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle databases.
• Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity.
• Perform backup, recovery, and routine maintenance activities.
• Support troubleshooting and resolve performance issues.
• Help with patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Proactively monitor database health and identify potential problems.
• Manage users, roles, privileges, and security settings.
• Assist senior DBAs with high‑availability and disaster‑recovery tasks.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational reports.
• Provide support for both production and non‑production environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in an enterprise support environment and participate in on‑call/shift rotations when required.
