Assistant Manager – Warehouse Operations

About the role

Abans PLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily warehouse activities across its network in Sri Lanka. The role focuses on ensuring efficient outbound deliveries, accurate stock handling, and smooth reverse‑logistics processes while maintaining high safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily warehouse operations.
• Plan and control outbound deliveries using the Haulmatic system.
• Allocate stock and replenish regional warehouses.
• Handle reverse logistics, including returns and damaged goods.
• Conduct regular stock verification at all locations.
• Coordinate stock audits with Audit and Inventory Control teams.
• Track POD acknowledgements and update ENADOC accurately.
• Supervise warehouse staff, drivers, and helpers.
• Ensure staff discipline, attendance, safety, and policy compliance.
• Maintain warehouse buildings, safety standards, and security.
• Report incidents and risks to the General Manager.
• Prepare routine operational and management reports.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant field.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management.
• Strong interest in warehouse operations and a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Haulmatic system.
• Experience using ENADOC for documentation and tracking.
