Assistant Manager – Technical Sales

About the role

Megakem Engineering is seeking an Assistant Manager – Technical Sales to drive the sales of construction and engineering products. The role combines material sales with project‑based opportunities, requiring strong customer focus and market insight.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of construction materials and engineering solutions to meet revenue targets.
• Develop and manage project sales opportunities from lead generation to order confirmation.
• Identify and acquire new customers, contractors, consultants, and developers.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and project partners.
• Prepare, follow up and negotiate quotations, proposals and commercial offers.
• Conduct customer and project site visits, delivering product presentations as needed.
• Monitor project pipelines, sales forecasts and business opportunities.
• Coordinate with Technical, Quantity Surveying, Operations, Stores and Finance teams for smooth execution.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and provide feedback to management.
• Ensure timely follow‑up on enquiries, orders and outstanding payments.
• Support the development and implementation of sales strategies to expand market presence.
• Provide regular sales performance updates and reports to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Construction, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in construction materials, waterproofing, construction chemicals or engineering solutions.
• Proven experience handling both material sales and project sales.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and project‑based sales processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Commercial awareness with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to identify opportunities, develop pipelines and convert leads into business.
• Independent work style while effectively coordinating with internal teams.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for customer and project visits (advantageous).
