Assistant Manager – Tax Services

About the role

PwC is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its Tax Services team in Colombo. You will support clients in navigating complex tax environments, both locally and internationally, and act as a strategic advisor on tax compliance, planning and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advice on local and overseas matters, including indirect taxes, M&A, and cross‑border transactions.
• Assist clients with tax due‑diligence, compliance filings, and reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives.
• Analyse tax risks, prepare detailed reports, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Support dispute resolution with tax authorities and manage tax accounting issues.

Required profile

• Associate Member or Passed Finalist of CIMA, ACCA or CA Sri Lanka.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in taxation.
• Proven experience handling tax due‑diligence assignments, especially cross‑border transactions.
• Strong analytical abilities and sound report‑writing skills.
• Ability to work independently on multiple assignments.
