Assistant Manager – Tax

About the role

D.P.R Consultants (Pvt) Ltd is a leading firm in accounting, tax consultancy, compliance and payroll management, part of the dynamic DPR group. We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Tax to oversee tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and submission of Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Individual Income Tax (IIT), VAT, SSCL, APIT, and WHT returns, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Provide tax advisory services on complex tax matters and develop tax planning strategies.
• Manage a portfolio of tax clients across various industries and act as the main point of contact for tax‑related issues.
• Coordinate all matters with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) and handle tax audits, investigations, and inquiries.
• Supervise and guide tax team members, allocate work, monitor performance and approve completed work.
• Identify tax‑saving opportunities within legal frameworks and support business development initiatives in the tax division.

Required profile

• Fully qualified in CA Sri Lanka (ACA) or member of CTA (CASL) or the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Sri Lanka.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in tax, preferably in a professional firm.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations and experience handling multiple clients and deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills.
