Assistant Manager – Talent & Recruitment

About the role

We are looking for an energetic and strategically‑minded Assistant Manager or Manager to lead talent acquisition across our diversified group of companies in Sri Lanka. The role will partner with business unit heads and HR Business Partners to build pipelines, enhance employer branding and deliver end‑to‑end recruitment for executive and senior positions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for executive to senior management roles across multiple sectors, defining role requirements and sourcing strategies.
• Design and execute employer‑branding initiatives and manage university‑relation programmes, including Management Trainee and internship pipelines.
• Oversee the Group Applicant Tracking System, track recruitment metrics and present analytics to HR leadership.
• Manage offer negotiations, pre‑employment screening, contract finalisation and coordinate group‑level onboarding.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or related field; professional HR qualification is a plus.
• 4‑6 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in talent acquisition for an Assistant Manager role, or 6‑9+ years with 4 years leading recruitment for a Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of the Sri Lankan labour market, compensation structures and employment legislation.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Advanced sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter and professional networks.
• Ability to analyse recruitment data and present metrics such as Time‑to‑Hire and Cost‑per‑Hire.
