Assistant Manager, Statutory Reporting

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Statutory Reporting will support the Business Unit Controller and ensure accurate, timely statutory and tax reporting for the Group’s subsidiaries. You will work closely with internal finance teams, external auditors and tax authorities to maintain compliance with local GAAP and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial reporting and control services to subsidiaries of the London Stock Exchange Group.
• Coordinate with business partners to ensure legal entities are correctly recorded in enterprise systems and that underlying processes have strong controls.
• Manage month‑end close, reconcile critical accounts and perform balance‑sheet and cost reviews.
• Liaise with external auditors to complete statutory audits on schedule.
• Work with tax and transfer‑pricing teams to prepare tax packs, book provisions and review TP calculations.
• Assist the tax team during tax audits and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.
• Analyse financial documents, investigate material variances and present performance insights to the Board of Directors.
• Evaluate accounting issues and recommend appropriate treatments to ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Accounting graduate with core experience in statutory and tax reporting.
• Part‑qualified (CA, ACCA or CIMA preferred) professional accountant.
• Minimum two years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
