Assistant Manager – Financial Accounting & Control

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Financial Accounting and Control will join LSEG’s Finance General Accounting team, providing accurate reporting and robust control for subsidiaries across the group. You will help standardise processes, support audits and collaborate with global finance partners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate financial accounting and control services for LSEG subsidiaries.
• Standardise and document processes to improve efficiency and resilience.
• Lead onboarding of new activities and align them with the Target Operating Model.
• Create training materials for new team members.
• Ensure compliance with LSEG policies and maintain strong financial controls.
• Guide the team to meet tight reporting deadlines while upholding quality standards.
• Support external audits and work closely with auditors to resolve queries.
• Contribute to group‑wide projects, implementing new systems and processes.
• Build strong partnerships across Entity Accounting, Financial Control, Group Reporting and Statutory Reporting teams.

Required profile

• Passed finalist in CIMA, ACCA or CA with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent partial qualification.
• Experience in finance shared services or similar scopes is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and meet tight deadlines.
• Leadership experience across geographies.
• Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a fast‑changing environment.
• Willingness to work UK business hours.
