Assistant Manager Finance

About the role

The company is a joint‑venture textile manufacturer seeking an Assistant Manager – Finance to drive cost control, budgeting and financial reporting across its fabric mill operations. You will work closely with production and senior management to provide actionable financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cost control and cost optimisation initiatives across the fabric mill.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts and rolling financial projections.
• Conduct variance analysis and deliver insights on operational and financial performance.
• Oversee production costing and ensure accurate product cost information.
• Prepare management reports, KPI dashboards and plant performance analysis for senior review.
• Monitor and control CAPEX budgets, project expenditures and capital investment reporting.
• Support inventory valuation, cost accounting and factory performance analysis.
• Assist in profitability analysis, business planning and decision‑making processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies and reporting requirements.
• Perform other management accounting and finance‑related functions as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or management accounting, preferably in apparel, textile or manufacturing.
• Full qualification with CIMA (UK) or CA Sri Lanka.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, costing and management reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
