Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounting Operations

About the role

As an Assistant Manager in Finance & Accounting Operations at Ascent, you will lead the preparation and presentation of group consolidation financial statements for a multinational group of over 40 entities. You will coordinate statutory audits, ensure compliance with financial reporting frameworks, and drive process improvements across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly group consolidation financial statements for 40+ entities across multiple geographies and currencies, including variance analysis.
• Present consolidation results to senior management, including the Group Finance Director, and handle R&C reviews.
• Lead year‑end statutory group consolidation audit and finalize audited financial statements with external auditors.
• Oversee sub‑consolidations prepared by the team and ensure accuracy.
• Plan, coordinate, and drive the entire group statutory audit, collaborating with internal F&A teams, other towers, and external auditors.
• Review statutory financial statements for 25+ entities across different jurisdictions.
• Manage inventory, bank reconciliation, corporate finance accounting, and taxation processes, ensuring delivery excellence.
• Guide teams to comply with LKAS and SLFRS frameworks and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and deliver automation, process‑improvement, and analytics projects.
• Participate in governance of the RTR tower, including ORC, Synops, volume submission, and SLA reporting.

Required profile

• Full qualification in ICASL, CIMA or ACCA; a degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business Management is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of finance operations experience, including at least 3 years at a senior level.
• Prior experience with a Big Four audit firm is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of SLFRS and LKAS reporting standards.
• Proven ability to manage timelines, work independently and deliver results.
