Assistant Manager / Executive Officer – Inspection Department

About the role

The Inspection Department is seeking an Assistant Manager / Executive Officer to lead comprehensive audit reviews across Personal Banking and Head Office functions. This role ensures regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and consistent internal controls throughout the bank's operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audit reviews covering AML, Compliance, Related Party Transactions, Risk Management, Credit, Finance, Treasury, and overseas operations.
• Verify adherence to regulatory requirements, bank policies, and internal control frameworks.
• Prepare and maintain detailed audit planning documentation in line with the audit methodology.
• Deliver timely audit reports highlighting risk implications and providing actionable, cost‑effective recommendations.
• Propose enhancements to procedures, products, and services to improve risk mitigation, cost optimisation, and process efficiency.
• Undertake special audit assignments directed by senior team leads or the Chief Internal Auditor.
• Exhibit flexibility to meet deadlines, including working extended hours when necessary.

Required profile

• Part qualification in CASL, ACCA, CIMA or a degree in Accountancy/Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on banking audit experience with deep understanding of audit processes.
• Broad knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements, including AML, compliance, related‑party transactions and risk management.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate complex transactions and identify regulatory or compliance risks.
