Assistant Manager - Bancassurance Training

About the role

Union Assurance is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the Bancassurance training function. The role will manage the full learning-and-development cycle, ensuring agents and senior staff receive the right product and sales training to meet strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define the learning philosophy, framework and both short-term and long-term training road‑maps for the Bancassurance division.
• Develop the annual training plan based on needs assessments and inputs from regional and zonal managers.
• Coordinate with regional managers to capture regional training requirements and oversee plan execution.
• Monitor training budgets, drive cost optimisation and report on training effectiveness.
• Design, develop and deliver training content for senior agents, including product knowledge and selling techniques.
• Lead business review meetings to discuss participation rates, performance metrics and future plans.
• Assess current learning infrastructure, recommend new technologies and improve learning efficiency.
• Track key metrics, analyse results and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Professional qualification in HR, L&D, Coaching or Mentoring (preferred).
• Minimum 2‑3 years in a senior L&D role and total 8+ years of professional experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
