About the role
The university is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Lecturer to deliver English language modules at its Kurunegala branch. The role involves both teaching and academic coordination, supporting student development and ensuring smooth programme delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials and assessments for English language courses.
- Coordinate timetables, academic operations and programme administration.
- Monitor student progress, maintain academic records and provide feedback.
- Offer academic guidance and mentorship to students.
- Support and organise student‑focused workshops and events.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in English, English Language Teaching, Linguistics or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Previous experience in teaching, lecturing or academic coordination is desirable.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Efficient management of academic coordination tasks.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills.
