Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supports the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations at Anantara Kalutara Resort, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing and supervising daily housekeeping activities.
• Maintain guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house areas to required hotel standards.
• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping team members, including room attendants and public area attendants.
• Monitor room status and work closely with the Front Office to guarantee timely room readiness.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas, taking corrective action when needed.
• Support manpower planning, duty allocation, scheduling and daily briefings.
• Assist in training, coaching and developing team members to ensure consistent service.
• Oversee proper handling, storage and control of linen, supplies, amenities and cleaning equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury or upscale hotel environment.
• Previous supervisory experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with LQA standards is an advantage.
