Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. You will support daily accounting operations, help prepare financial reports, and assist with budgeting and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, statements, and records.
• Assist in budget preparation and ongoing monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial transactions are correctly recorded and reported.
• Support the preparation of tax filings and compliance requirements.
• Assist with audits and financial inspections as needed.
• Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.

Required profile

• AAT fully qualified or partially qualified, or a chartered qualification such as ZIMA or ACCA.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
