Architectural Designer

About the role

Aztra Engineering & Construction is seeking a motivated Architectural Designer to join its team on‑site in the Ampara District. You will work closely with engineers, project managers and construction crews to translate client needs into functional, safe and aesthetically pleasing built environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts and detailed construction drawings, including plans, sections and elevations.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, safety standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to adapt designs for constructability and sustainability.
• Participate in site visits, design reviews and permit documentation.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and optimize layouts for functionality and visual quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Strong foundation in architectural design and urban planning principles.
• Ability to work on‑site, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in construction or engineering environments in Sri Lanka is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using Revit.
• Familiarity with SketchUp.
• Ability to produce detailed construction and technical drawings.
