Aircraft Technician – Assessment Day in Colombo (Full Relocation)

About the role

Etihad is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join its Technical Operations team in Colombo. The role supports the airline’s Journey 2030 strategy, contributing to a rapidly expanding fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Successful candidates will attend an assessment day and, upon selection, receive full relocation to Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance is performed to the highest technical standards, staying updated on technical and quality notices.
• Prepare materials, tooling and documentation in advance to support on‑time performance.
• Consult with engineers to maintain a complete overview of the aircraft.
• Maintain a FOD‑free work area and clean the bay before and after tasks.
• Return unused serviceable and unserviceable items to stores with correct labeling and ensure tooling is cleaned and returned appropriately.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and report any non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Completed an apprenticeship with an airline or approved organization, or equivalent formal training.
• 3‑5+ years full‑time hands‑on experience in line, light or base maintenance on Airbus/Boeing commercial aircraft.
• Experience in an airline hub or MRO/base maintenance environment.
• Fluent English with good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.
• Willingness to undergo further training and certification as required.
