About the role
The Aircraft Mechanic will support senior technicians in maintaining Emirates' fleet and third‑party aircraft at the Colombo base, performing routine tasks under supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Assist aircraft technicians with maintenance activities and routine servicing.
- Alert the designated Engineer of any defects and source required materials or parts.
- Assist in the removal and installation of components.
- Perform cleaning of aircraft and components following safety procedures.
- Maintain, clean, and correctly store tools and equipment after use.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and obstruction‑free working area.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by supervisors to meet work targets.
Required profile
- HND/OND qualification from an aviation college (no on‑the‑job training required).
- Legal right to live and work in Sri Lanka.
- Effective communication in English.
Required skills
- Aircraft maintenance procedures.
- Use and handling of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and documentation.
