Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Accountant to join our growing finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Sri Lankan accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier, and customer balances.
• Process payments, receipts, and journal entries.
• Prepare VAT, SSCL, WHT, APIT and other statutory tax returns.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan accounting standards and company policies.
• Lead, monitor and develop the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT).
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
