Accountant – Financial Reporting & SAP

About the role

The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial and management reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Working closely with the Finance team, management, auditors and other stakeholders, the role requires delivering timely and accurate financial statements while meeting strict reporting deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with SLFRS.
• Assist in the preparation and finalisation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Provide accurate Management Information (MI) and financial analysis as required.
• Monitor and review monthly General Ledger entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and oversee the RFID/asset tagging process.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, supplying required information and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards and internal controls, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and meet reporting deadlines.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in preparation and finalisation of financial and management accounts.
• Part‑qualified in ICASL (final level) or a degree from a recognised university.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP is essential.
• Sound knowledge of SLFRS and financial reporting.
