Accountant – Financial Management

About the role

Sysco LABS Sri Lanka is seeking an experienced Accountant to lead financial analysis, month‑end closing and budgeting activities that support the global operations of the world’s largest foodservice company.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial analysts in developing valuation models and providing executive recommendations.
• Lead the month‑end closing process and produce monthly financial forecasts.
• Develop and implement budgeting, forecasting and reporting plans.
• Identify spending trends, cost‑saving initiatives and margin improvement opportunities.
• Review financial reports periodically to pinpoint cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Analyze market trends and competitor performance on a regular basis.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CA (SL)/CIMA (UK) or ACCA (UK); a relevant Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in auditing, accounting or finance at a managerial level.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork orientation and flexibility to work US business hours when required.
