Account Executive – Accounting & Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our finance team in the Kurunegala District. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, handling customer collections, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for our rice‑milling equipment business.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Manage shipment‑related payments, import documentation and supplier settlements.
• Monitor customer payments, follow up on overdue collections and perform bank reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting and preparation of management accounts.
• Maintain accurate accounting records within the ERP system.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, suppliers, shipping agents and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.

Required profile

• Fully or partially qualified in CA, CIMA, ACCA, AAT or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a commercial environment.
• Experience with import‑related accounting and customer collections is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
