Account Assistant – Finance Support

About the role

The Account Assistant will support day‑to‑day accounting and finance operations at IT Gallery’s Ja‑ela office. This full‑time, on‑site position involves handling petty cash, assisting credit control, maintaining financial records and supporting month‑end and year‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage petty cash, ensuring accurate tracking, reconciliation and reporting.
• Assist with credit control activities, monitoring outstanding payments and supporting collection processes.
• Prepare and update financial records, process invoices and payments, and reconcile accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and maintain documentation for compliance.
• Communicate with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure smooth financial operations.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve workflows and contribute to reliable reporting.

Required profile

• Basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
• Experience or understanding of credit control and petty cash management.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners.
• Relevant academic or professional qualification (e.g., AAT, part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA).
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in a finance or accounting support role is preferred but not mandatory.
