About the role

This full‑time position provides instruction to 6th‑grade students in a classroom setting, delivering the district‑approved curriculum and fostering a supportive learning environment. The role includes curriculum planning, student supervision, and collaboration with school administration.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the district‑approved curriculum to assigned 6th‑grade classes.
• Plan and deliver lessons using diverse instructional techniques and media to meet individual student needs.
• Create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for student maturity.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and on field trips.
• Assess student progress, grade assignments, and prepare progress reports.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and district requirements.
• Support school policies, enforce behavior standards, and assist administration with policy implementation.
