Senior Tour Consultant – Team Leader

About the role

As a Team Leader, you will lead and develop a team of Destination Experts (Tour Consultants) while driving sales performance, conversion, gross profit, customer experience and sales quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of 5+ Destination Experts / Tour Consultants.
• Drive team sales, GP, conversion and productivity performance.
• Manage enquiries, pipeline, follow‑ups and lead allocation.
• Support the team with complex sales, negotiations and closing.
• Conduct coaching, 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Identify performance gaps and drive corrective and development actions.
• Ensure sales quality, CRM accuracy and process/SOP compliance.
• Handle customer escalations and work with Operations and Customer Care.
• Build expertise in destinations, markets and travel products.
• Handle 5–10 strategic/complex enquiries while prioritising team leadership.
• Build a positive, accountable and high‑performance sales culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or similar travel sales role.
• Strong track record of achieving sales, conversion and GP targets.
• Strong knowledge of travel sales, costing, itinerary development and customer handling.
• Previous team‑leading, mentoring or coaching experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills with the ability to motivate and hold team members accountable.
• Good understanding of sales pipeline and enquiry management.
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
• Good working knowledge of CRM and sales systems.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to analyse sales performance and take timely corrective action.
• Ability to work effectively in a target‑driven, fast‑paced and performance‑focused environment.
• Strong teamwork, ownership, accountability and problem‑solving mindset.
