About the role
As a News Content Creator at Anthem24, you will produce short‑form video explainers, present on‑camera, and host podcasts and interviews for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts. You will own each piece from research to final cut and help shape the outlet’s video voice.
Key responsibilities
- Turn story briefs into 60‑second to 3‑minute video explainers.
- Write scripts in Anthem24’s clear, fact‑based tone.
- Present short‑form videos and host longer podcasts or interviews.
- Edit and publish content across Reels, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.
Required profile
- 1‑3 years experience creating short‑form video content; journalism background preferred but not required.
- Comfortable on‑camera and capable behind it.
- Fluent in English or Sinhala, with working proficiency in the other; strong fluency in both is a plus.
- Genuinely interested in current affairs.
