Head of YouTube Strategy (AI & Creative Channel Network)

About the role

TechZnap is building a network of AI‑driven entertainment YouTube channels. We need a senior leader to shape channel strategy, drive performance and launch new verticals.

Key responsibilities

• Channel Strategy: Set direction and a rolling two‑week content calendar for every channel, based on search demand, competitor gaps and retention data.
• Performance Analysis: Review CTR, retention and RPM on each upload and turn the numbers into clear recommendations on topics, hooks and thumbnails.
• Testing & Optimisation: Run title and thumbnail A/B tests and define quality standards for writers and designers.
• Strategy to Execution: Translate strategy into briefs for the Production Manager, script writers and designers, ensuring each video starts with a defined goal.
• New Channels: Research, plan and launch new channels, from niche validation to a consistent upload schedule.
• Reporting: Deliver a performance review to the CEO every two weeks with specific recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven Growth: 3+ years growing YouTube channels (own or client), with demonstrable results.
• Analytics Fluency: Deep comfort with YouTube Studio metrics such as retention graphs, traffic sources, CTR and RPM.
• Content Judgement: Ability to recognise strong hooks, scripts and thumbnails and explain why they work.
• AI‑Proficient, Not AI‑Dependent: Confident use of AI tools for research, ideation and analysis while applying personal judgement.
• Structured Thinker: Build clear plans, calendars and frameworks for the production team.
• Leadership & Influence: Lead through trust, handle push‑back constructively and win team buy‑in.
• Fluent spoken Sinhala for day‑to‑day communication; good written English for script and title review.
