Head of Finance Transformation

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Finance Transformation to lead finance transformation, financial reporting, capital management, and technology‑driven process improvements within a dynamic organization. The role involves overseeing statutory reporting, driving process automation, and providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accurate and timely statutory, group, and management reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive finance transformation, process automation, and business intelligence initiatives to improve reporting, forecasting, and overall financial operations.
• Develop dashboards, financial analytics, and actionable insights to support executive decision‑making and performance management.
• Optimize balance sheet, cash flow, liquidity, and working capital through effective credit control, collections, and payment management.
• Partner with Actuarial and Risk teams on solvency, capital adequacy, and broader capital management requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and continuous monitoring across finance and reporting processes.
• Lead and support finance system upgrades, digital transformation, and integration of financial and reporting platforms.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership on business performance, financial strategy, and capital priorities.
• Present financial performance, insights, and capital strategies to the Board, regulators, and key internal stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing finance teams while fostering strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience within the insurance sector is preferred.
• 10+ years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in senior finance leadership roles covering financial reporting and capital management.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, SLFRS 17, and insurance‑specific capital frameworks.
• Proven track record in leading finance transformation initiatives, process automation, and technology‑driven solutions.
