Fares & Ticketing Executive

About the role

The Fares & Ticketing Executive is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Colombo, responsible for issuing, reissuing and refunding airline tickets in line with company and airline policies. The executive assists travelers with fare queries, itinerary changes and travel options, ensuring accurate information and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Issue, reissue and refund tickets according to airline and company guidelines.
• Assist customers with fare inquiries, itinerary modifications and travel alternatives.
• Manage booking systems and verify fare rules before pricing.
• Apply correct pricing and coordinate with sales and operations teams to finalize travel arrangements.
• Maintain detailed records of ticketing transactions and resolve issues promptly.
• Support customer‑service initiatives to improve traveler satisfaction.

Required profile

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Solid reservation experience with airline GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Prior experience in ticketing or fare management within the travel or airline industry.
• Knowledge of airline fare structures, IATA regulations and basic geography of travel routes.
• Ability to work on‑site in Colombo, collaborate in a team and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
