Coffee Machine Technician

About the role

Soul Coffee Company is seeking a hands‑on Coffee Machine Technician to lead the Technical Department, ensure reliable operation of customer machines and maintain internal production, showroom and office equipment. The role blends technical expertise, team coordination, preventive maintenance and direct customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily technical operations, allocate jobs, prepare schedules and monitor service progress across the department.
• Plan and execute warranty, AMC, routine and preventive maintenance services, ensuring timely attendance and proper job closure.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and water‑flow faults in coffee machines and related equipment.
• Support technicians with complex troubleshooting, testing, installation, commissioning and repeat‑failure investigations.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for coffee‑processing, production, packing, showroom and office equipment.
• Coordinate spare‑parts requirements with stores and procurement, maintain accurate records and support critical stock planning.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching, monitor productivity, safety and professional conduct of technicians.
• Maintain service records, equipment history and prepare weekly status updates and monthly KPI reports.
• Analyse repeat failures, downtime and parts shortages, recommending corrective actions and reliability improvements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, PPE, tool‑control and site‑safety requirements while maintaining professional customer communication.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Refrigeration & Air‑Conditioning or a comparable technical qualification.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on technical maintenance or field‑service experience, with at least 1 year of coordinating or guiding other technicians.
• Experience with coffee machines, production equipment or food‑processing machinery is an advantage.
• Clear communication skills in Sinhala and working English; Tamil is a plus.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to customer and company locations.
