Business Transformation Consultant – Internal Transformation Services

About the role

EY’s Internal Transformation Services (ITS) team is expanding in Sri Lanka and is looking for a Business Transformation Consultant. You will work with senior leaders and cross‑functional, geographically distributed teams to turn strategic priorities into practical roadmaps, change interventions and measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders and functional stakeholders to clarify business objectives, transformation priorities, challenges and opportunities.
• Structure ambiguous problems, assess the current state and synthesize insights into clear recommendations, options and action plans.
• Design transformation roadmaps, governance structures, milestones, success measures and decision forums that enable disciplined execution.
• Lead or support complex, cross‑functional programs from initiation through implementation, managing scope, dependencies, risks, issues and outcomes.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships across countries and functions, communicating effectively with executive and working‑level audiences.
• Leverage market perspectives and emerging practices to strengthen decision‑making and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Assess operating models, customer or employee journeys and enabling technology to identify practical improvements.
• Design and deliver change strategies, including stakeholder analysis, impact and readiness assessments, communication, engagement, learning and adoption plans.
• Apply human‑centred and design‑thinking approaches to frame problems, gather user insights, test ideas and improve solutions.
• Create concise, leadership‑ready presentations, dashboards, business cases, status reports and decision materials.
• Contribute to reusable consulting methods, tools and knowledge assets while coaching junior team members and promoting an inclusive, collaborative team culture.

Required profile

• Strong business transformation and consulting mindset, able to connect strategy, people, process, technology and execution.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work with incomplete information and define a clear path forward.
• Proven program or project management experience, capable of leading complex initiatives.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships across functions and geographies.
• Collaborative, inclusive attitude with a focus on coaching and knowledge sharing.
