Financial Accountant

About the role

Earth’s Finest is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its Shared Service Centre in Colombo. The role supports finance teams in the UAE, Denmark and the UK, handling end‑to‑end accounting, reporting and compliance for an international food business.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close, financial reporting and ensure the integrity of the accounts.
• Perform balance‑sheet, bank and inter‑company reconciliations and manage credit control and working capital.
• Handle Sri Lankan tax, payroll, statutory compliance and oversee filings for the UAE, Denmark and the UK.
• Manage stock accounting, import/export and foreign‑currency transactions.
• Prepare year‑end accounts, coordinate the annual audit and maintain banking relationships.
• Supervise and develop the Finance Intern.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA) or finalist status.
• At least five years of financial accounting experience, including month‑end and audit ownership.
• Good knowledge of Sri Lankan tax and statutory requirements.
• Experience with multi‑country reporting or compliance is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, deadline ownership and fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Practical experience with QuickBooks, Xero and Zoho.
• Familiarity with e‑conomic (advantageous).
