Virtual Audit Manager

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Virtual Audit Manager to lead audit engagements from a fully remote setting. The role combines strategic oversight, client relationship management, and support for business growth while ensuring compliance with auditing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review end‑to‑end audit engagements remotely, adhering to firm policies and auditing standards.
• Supervise audit teams, guaranteeing timely delivery of high‑quality work products.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for audit matters.
• Contribute to business development through client retention and onboarding of new clients.
• Review audit documentation and provide actionable feedback to team members.
• Participate in strategic planning, process improvements, and new initiative proposals.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Required profile

• Strong auditing background with experience at a reputable audit firm.
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards and electronic audit files.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Fully or partly qualified – CA Sri Lanka (ICASL) or ACCA (finalist or above).
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple remote clients.
