Software Engineer II – Backend

About the role

As a Software Engineer II at Circles, you will join a world‑class engineering team building innovative capabilities for the CXOS Telco operating system. You will work on both functional features and non‑functional aspects such as performance, scalability, and security, while accelerating your career with the latest technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and modify existing ones to support the global expansion of the Telco operating system.
• Write comprehensive automated tests (unit, integration, and journey tests) for all delivered features.
• Produce performant code and incorporate senior developers’ code‑review feedback.
• Maintain high attention to detail and quality across all assignments.
• Participate in R&D work as required by emerging capabilities.
• Contribute actively to team discussions and share knowledge.
• Document design details, including APIs and architecture diagrams, under senior guidance.
• Assist in production issue troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation and meet customer SLAs.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial experience focused on backend engineering.
• Hands‑on development experience with Java or Golang.
• Experience with relational databases (MariaDB or MySQL); NoSQL experience (MongoDB) is a plus.
• Familiarity with common software design patterns and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
