Project Manager – TVET Career Platform (Sri Lanka)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the Procurement and Technical Support for the TVET Career Platform project in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This role oversees the development and operation of a career platform aimed at reducing youth unemployment through quality career guidance and services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise technical personnel, including an IT officer and MEP engineer.
• Manage project budget of USD 1.1 million funded by KOICA.
• Ensure delivery of three key outputs: operational platform, strengthened service‑provider capacities, and wide dissemination among employers and job seekers.
• Coordinate procurement activities and technical support to meet project milestones.
• Report progress to senior UNOPS officials and partner agencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing development projects in the education or technical training sector.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and budget oversight.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and liaise with government and donor partners.
