Search Engine Optimization Specialist

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Colombo focuses on planning and executing SEO strategies to boost organic visibility, traffic and qualified leads for Garage Apex’s digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research to identify high‑value search terms.
• Perform technical and content‑focused SEO audits and resolve identified issues.
• Optimize on‑page elements such as titles, meta descriptions, headings and content structure.
• Monitor rankings, traffic and performance metrics, and report on results.
• Identify growth opportunities and refine campaigns using web analytics tools.
• Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align SEO with broader initiatives.
• Support link‑building initiatives and develop ethical backlink strategies.
• Stay up‑to‑date with SEO best practices, algorithm updates and industry trends.

Required profile

• Strong skills in keyword research and on‑page SEO.
• Experience conducting comprehensive SEO audits.
• Proven ability to develop and execute link‑building strategies.
• Proficiency with web analytics and SEO tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, IT, Communications or related field, with hands‑on SEO experience.
• Bonus: experience in automotive or e‑commerce marketing, familiarity with CMS platforms, basic HTML/CSS knowledge, and strong analytical communication abilities.
