Electrical Superintendent – Design & Development

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Superintendent – Design to lead electrical design, material selection, and technical compliance while supporting project timelines and collaborating with engineers to deliver efficient, innovative transformer solutions. The role involves overseeing material specifications, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing technical support throughout the design process.

Key responsibilities

• Check material test reports, accessory catalogues and prepare material specifications and checklists.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with industry standards, regulations and company policies; conduct regular reviews and audits.
• Collaborate with the Electrical Engineer to align design processes with engineering requirements and maintain communication between design and production teams.
• Address manufacturing process issues by communicating with suppliers and the procurement team.
• Provide technical support in electrical design, propose solutions and review design modifications to improve functionality and efficiency.
• Promote adherence to safety protocols and foster a safety culture within the design team.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement best practices in the design department.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance design capabilities.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Technology (NDT) in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 1–2 years of relevant hands‑on experience (advantage).
• Strong understanding of IEC standards and ability to apply them in electrical design, calculations, SolidWorks and AutoCAD‑based engineering drawings.
