Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable data availability, quality, and performance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data warehouse solutions to meet business requirements.
• Utilize strong SQL and Python skills to implement efficient data pipelines and transformations within the data warehouse.
• Develop cloud‑based ELT/ETL processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data models.
• Support the BI team with new data requests.
• Monitor data‑warehouse automation processes to ensure data is available before UK business hours.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with ability to write complex queries and optimise performance.
• Experience building and delivering data marts and data‑warehouse solutions.
• Experience documenting low‑level ETL designs.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest data‑engineering technologies and pursue continuous learning.
