Assistant Vice President - Treasury

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Treasury Dealing will lead fixed‑income trading activities, optimise portfolio performance and support strategic treasury operations. The role involves active participation in bond, equity and asset trading, risk management, market analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance while maintaining strong relationships with market participants.

Key responsibilities

• Execute secondary‑market bond trading, manage modified duration and optimise risk‑adjusted returns.
• Oversee money‑market operations for corporate and institutional portfolios and develop fixed‑income strategies for government securities.
• Structure and execute repo and reverse‑repo transactions to enhance liquidity and mitigate risk.
• Implement risk‑management frameworks to control interest‑rate exposure and monitor treasury risk limits.
• Analyse macroeconomic trends, monetary‑policy changes and yield‑curve movements to support trading and investment decisions.
• Design and execute portfolio‑management strategies that aim to outperform benchmarks and optimise yield‑curve positioning.
• Lead a high‑performing trading, portfolio‑management and research team, and engage with primary dealers, interbank treasuries and regulators.
• Prepare and present investment proposals, risk reports and performance analyses to institutional and individual investors.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in treasury, fixed‑income trading, investment management or capital markets.
• Strong understanding of government securities, money markets and investment‑portfolio management.
• Excellent analytical, communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Degree in finance, economics, banking, accounting, mathematics or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, CIMA, FRM or similar are an advantage.
