Public Health Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a Public Health Subject Matter Expert to work remotely on an hourly contract basis. In this role you will evaluate AI‑generated public‑health responses, create high‑quality reference content, and provide detailed feedback to improve model reasoning and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training prompts and gold‑standard answers covering epidemiology, policy, prevention, and risk communication.
• Evaluate, rank, and critique AI outputs for accuracy, clarity, scientific rigor, and bias.
• Test model responses for unsafe recommendations, misleading evidence interpretation, and population‑specific reliability.
• Fact‑check public‑health claims and write clear explanations and model solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Policy, Global Health, or related field (MPH preferred).
• 5+ years of professional experience in public health across government, NGOs, academia, healthcare systems, or consulting.
• Strong ability to frame problems, assess causal relationships, and recognize bias and confounding.
• Excellent attention to detail when fact‑checking and identifying unsafe assumptions.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency.
